CHIPPING CAMPDEN AND SURROUNDING AREA

Chipping Campden is regarded as having the most beautiful High Street in the land and Dragon House and its facilities are close at hand to a great choice of restaurants, pubs and shops.

We are also well situated for walking, cycling or car based holidays. Racecourses within a 20 mile radius include Cheltenham, Stratford, Warwick and Worcester. There are also several golf courses within a short drive. Chipping Campden Leisure Centre is based at the Comprehensive School in the town and offers swimming, tennis, badminton, keep fit, etc. after school hours, at weekends and during the school holidays.

To the north is Stratford-upon-Avon and the Shakespeare properties, Warwick and its fabulous castle, Coventry and its cathedral and even Birmingham with its many and varied places of interest, entertainment, exhibitions, etc., including the National Exhibition Centre and the National Indoor Arena. The National Agricultural Centre at Stoneleigh, home of the Royal Show, is less than 20 miles away.

To the west is Worcester with its famous porcelain factory, Ironbridge at the heart of the Industrial Revolution and the Malvern hills.

The southern Cotswolds have a wealth of beautiful small towns and villages where keeping off the main roads is a 'must'! Within an easy drive you have Oxford (and Blenheim Palace), the regency town of Cheltenham, Gloucester and its docks, the Roman town of Cirencester, 'Royal Gloucestershire' and much more.
